Precautions when using electromagnetic power-off brake
1. Foreign matter: The friction surface shall not be mixed with other foreign matter. The mixing of the grease will cause the friction plate to slip, rapidly reducing the friction generated, resulting in a sharp decline in the braking effect. The mixture of dust and metal particles can wear and damage the friction plates or rotating parts. Mixing of chemicals can cause rust and corrosion. Therefore, the brake needs to be protected during operation. If necessary, use protective covers to protect against oil, dust and corrosion. Increase the service life of the brake.
2. Humidity and water droplets: In the case of high relative humidity, if water droplets are attached to the friction surface of the electromagnetic brake and the electromagnetic clutch, low friction will appear before it is completely dry. Moisture is the main cause of corrosion of the electromagnetic brake. Please give your full attention.
3. Ventilation: As the friction heat generated by the electromagnetic brake and the electromagnetic clutch will radiate outside, it should be installed in a ventilated place. When used in places with poor ventilation and heat dissipation, please pay attention to the two items, and use forced air cooling when necessary.
4. Higher speed: larger allowable speed of electromagnetic brake and electromagnetic clutch. The greater speed is determined by the greater speed of the friction surface. If the speed is exceeded, the rated torque will not be produced, and abnormal wear or overheating deformation will occur.
5. Temperature: The electromagnetic brake and electromagnetic clutch are Class B insulation, the normal temperature rise is 40 ℃, and the working temperature during extreme thermal equilibrium is not allowed to exceed 100 ℃, otherwise the coil and friction parts are easily damaged.
