Electromagnetic powder brake: When the excitation coil is energized, a magnetic field is formed, and the magnetic powder is magnetized under the magnetic field to form a magnetic powder chain, the fixed magnetic conductor and the rotor are polymerized, and the combination force and friction of the magnetic powder are used to achieve braking. When the excitation current disappears, the magnetic powder is free and loose, and the braking effect is improved. The brake of this system is small in size, light in weight, and has low excitation power. The brake control torque has nothing to do with the speed of a rotating component, but magnetic powder will cause these components to wear. Automatic control is convenient, suitable for various mechanical transmission systems.
Electromagnetic eddy current and braking: a magnetic field is formed when the excitation coil is energized. The armature on the brake shaft rotates to cut off the magnetic field lines and generate eddy currents. The interaction of the eddy current and the magnetic field in the armature does not form a braking torque. The electromagnetic eddy current brake is durable, easy to maintain, and has a large speed range. However, the speed is low, the efficiency is low, and the temperature rises, so heat dissipation measures must be taken. These brakes are often used on machines with vertical loads.
Electromagnetic friction brake: the excitation coil is energized with a magnetic field, and the armature is sucked in through the yoke. The armature realizes the shaft brake through the connecting flange. In addition, it is subdivided into electromagnetic dry single-plate electromagnetic brake, dry multi-plate electromagnetic brake, and wet Multi-plate electromagnetic brake, etc. There are braking methods that can be divided into dynamic braking and dynamic braking. Please use the electromagnetic brake without water or oil. If the friction part is stained with water or oil, the friction torque will be greatly reduced, and the sensitivity of the electromagnetic brake will also become worse. In order to avoid these situations in use, please add a cover.
