Electromagnetic brake is an additional device commonly used in motors, and there are two types of power-on braking and power-off braking. In addition to the advantages of convenient control and fast braking speed, loss of power braking means that the equipment can be safely braked under the condition of unexpected power failure and out of control to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.
The electromagnetic power-off brake is mainly composed of a yoke equipped with a coil, an armature, a connecting plate, a spring, a friction disc, a gear sleeve and other parts. The spring is installed in the yoke, and the armature can move in the axial direction. The yoke is fixed on the base by mounting screws to adjust the clearance. After the specified value is reached, the gear sleeve is connected with the transmission shaft through a key, and the outer teeth of the gear sleeve mesh with the inner teeth of the friction plate.
When the coil is de-energized, under the action of the spring force, the friction disc and the armature and the base (or connecting plate) generate friction, and the drive shaft is braked through the gear sleeve. When the coil is energized, under the action of electromagnetic force, The armature is attracted to the magnetic yoke, which releases the friction disc and releases the brake.
The choice of the type of electromagnetic brake depends to a large extent on the size of the braking torque required. In addition, the braking moment of inertia, relative speed, braking time, operating frequency and other factors should also be considered. The following is a brake manufacturer's recommend modeling rules, different manufacturers will be slightly different, but the principles are similar.This series is a jaw brake. This brake is a double output structure brake, one end is a pulley output, and the other end is an encoder mounting shaft output. This brake is an integral structure, easy to install.
